MathEX

Equation editor with default palettes gives you access to all of the primary functionality of the MathEX equation editor.

Equation editor with inline palettes is an example of the MathEX editor with a preassigned editing palette.

Find the Pattern is an example of a template-driven activity that asks a student to fill in the missing numbers in a simple randomly-generated sequence. The student's response is graded upon submission.

Write the Sentence is another template activity that asks a student to fill in the templatized math sentence for the addition of two fractions.

A technical PhD thesis written in LaTeX is delivered online with document navigation, pop-up bibliographic references.

A Multiplication Animation shows students how to multiply two multi-digit numbers. (Requires the MathML Equation Editor and Internet Explorer for Windows.)

The Multiplication Tutor guides a student through the multiplication of two numbers, emphasizing the distributive property of multiplication. Note that all non-numeric keys are disabled. (Windows platform only.)

The Cartesian Grid lets students explore Cartesian coordinates and shows how to use those coordinates to write the equation of a line, find the distance between two points, find the midpoint between two points, and graph inequalities. (Requires Java 1.3 or later, and Windows platform only.)

Show the Steps applet lets students explore the operations needed to solve a simple linear equation. (Requires Java 1.3 or later, and Windows platform only.)
